Which test to start with, how to sit it, and what to do with your report afterwards.
Start with the test your Aon invitation asks for. Publishers do not all use the same names, so look for the kind of test in the wording. Abstract reasoning can mean any of our logical, inductive or diagrammatic tests, and a mechanical comprehension test is what we call mechanical reasoning.
If the invitation has not arrived yet, begin with numerical reasoning, which most large employers set, and then try verbal. The timer starts with the first question, so open a test when you can give it the whole time limit.

Take it as you would take the real one: in one sitting, somewhere quiet, with the timer on and the solutions switched off. The questions are only new to you once, so the first attempt is the one that shows where you stand.
Keep an eye on the clock as you work. If a question is taking too long, pick the answer that looks most likely and move on, because a question still open when time runs out earns nothing. The solutions will be waiting in the report at the end.
For illustration only. We are not affiliated with Aon, and our practice tests are not its own.
Go through the report before anything else. It shows your score against the test's pass mark and your percentile among other people who took the same test, and review mode opens every question with the correct answer and the reasoning behind it.
Then sort what went wrong. A wrong answer points to a method the solution can show you, and a question you did not reach points to pace. For new questions, take another test of the same kind from our packages, which hold up to 16 tests each.
Reviews of the Aon tests are shown first.

Aon tests
Aon scales numerical
Aon style tests are a bit different, the numerical ones have you flicking between tabs of data. The practice here isnt identical to that format but the maths is the same and I got much quicker. Passed the Aon stage for a grad scheme in January.

AON assessment
Although I didn't pass a final round of the Aon interview, this platform helped me boost my psychometric skills. Don't expect to pass any assessment after practicing here for an hour or so. You need at least 5-6 days to learn the logic and brush the timing skill as well. Overall, I would recommend this website.

Useful
I found the mock tests very helpful to get me ready for the real test. It was good to find out which areas I needed to brush up on and also learn more about the test.

No. Employers keep their test questions private, and we are not connected with Aon. What our free tests have in common with an online assessment is the format: the kinds of question the main test publishers use, against a similar clock, so the layout and the pace will not be new to you.
No. Pick a test on this page and it opens straight away. You can read the report at the end, but it is not stored, so create a free account and take the tests while signed in if you want to keep your results.
The reasoning tests run from 8 to 20 minutes, with 4 to 16 questions. The personality samples are not timed.
Yes, as often as you like: the report has a button to start the test again. The questions stay the same between attempts, though, so a second score says more about what you remember than about your progress.
Yes. Any phone with an up-to-date browser will do, and there is no app to download. Tables and charts are easier to read on a larger screen, so a laptop is the better choice for the numerical test if you have one.
No. We do not send results to Aon or to any other employer, and other people using the site cannot see them. A free test taken without an account is not stored at all: the report is there when you finish and gone once you leave it.
The All-in-One opens all 59 tests for £29.99, and one package of your choice is £9.99. Whichever you choose, you get 3 months unlimited access, no auto-renew, under a 14-day money-back guarantee.
