Bosch (Robert Bosch GmbH) is a German multinational engineering and technology company. It is headquartered in Gerlingen, near Stuttgart, Germany.

Bosch's main activities cover four business sectors: automotive technology (equipment and software), consumer goods (household appliances and power tools), industrial technology (electric drives and control systems), and energy and building technology. With its automotive division, which accounted for 59% of sales in 2020, Bosch is the world's largest supplier of automotive equipment and spare parts.

According to preliminary figures, Bosch invested around €6.3 billion in research and development in 2015 and applied for 5,422 patents worldwide. Some 375,000 employees generated a record turnover of 70 billion euros for the company in the 2015 financial year.
